About
This web-site is an Internet memorial dedicated to Allen Perry Moberly, a Sargent in the United States Army during World War II, who lost his life as a result of D-Day. This memorial is only possible because of one man: Albert H. Small, who created the Normandy Institute in partnership with National History Day. The Normandy Institute takes 15 students and their teachers on a life-changing journey to Washington, D.C. and Normandy, France, where the students and teachers visit historic sites related to World War II and D-Day. As a part of this institute, each student was required to pick a solider from his or her home state who is buried in the American Cemetery in Normandy, France to research in depth, and then write a eulogy to present at the soldier's grave. The students were also required to make a website dedicated to that same solider.
This is for you, Allen.
